Biography

Isabelle ZIEGLER-DEVIN is an Associate Professor at ENSIC (Engineering School dedicated to Chemical Engineering) in Nancy-University of Lorraine, France. She has a master's degree in Chemical-Physics and Materials Engineering from the University of Lorraine (France). She obtained her PhD in Process Engineering in 2004. She worked for 10 years on gas phase thermal processes at the LRGP laboratory (University of Lorraine - France). She worked on several subjects such as the development of composite materials for the aerospace, the abatement of dioxins, the valorization of gas from biomass gasification...etc. Seven years ago, she joined LERMAB (University of Lorraine-France), which is located in the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies (University of Lorraine-France). The main focus of this laboratory is the valorization of wood material. More precisely, she works on the pre-treatment of wood by liquid means (organosolv process, steam explosion) in order to valorize it. Examples of valorization can be the production of composite biomaterials, the production of bioethanol...etc.
